Hello! My name is Angie Smederovac. I enjoy spending time with my family, Brett (hubby), Paige (daughter), Jamie (son) and Sara (the dog). My hobbies include scrapbooking (not digital!), photography, reading and travellling.
I have been teaching in the Lord Selkirk School Division for the past 13 years. I am currently teaching Grade Three at Daerwood School. My personal goals when coming to Daerwood School had been and continue to become familiar with new technology and to implement these in the classroom.
I am looking forward to getting a SmartBoard in my classroom next school year and have already been looking at Notebook lessons that I can use. I did a practice run using a SmartBoard this year when I created a "Jeopardy" style game about Canada. My students really enjoyed this activity and we are looking forward to more in the future.
I have spent a lot of time on my classroom Web Page and this has been a learning process as I try to make changes, add details and make it informative and interesting for my students and parents.
I am still quite traditional in my approach to LwICT and am trying to be more open to new ideas and new tools!
